The Irish Music remains alive in Ireland through the 20th Century and maybe more.

This music has influenced a lot of types of music like the country and the rock music.

There are several famous bands: U2, The Cranberries, The Corrs… The songs and melodies are thought to be ancestral.
However it is very difficult to know the age of most of the melodies because they have a lot of  variations through the years, although only the modern songs are written in English and the rest in Irish.
Most songs are from cities and towns, and the melodies adopt the forms of traditional dances.
The Celtic Music is applied to the music from Ireland and Scotland because both of them share their Gaelic culture.
This music is a type of music with romantic characters, funny and easy to dance it.
The independency of Ireland with Scotland led to promotion of the Celtic music and from Ireland as a special Irish product.
