Angel escribe para el blog

On the first Sunday of my stay, my host family brought me to the Croke Park Stadium to watch a gaelic football match. Dublin gaelic football team played against Galway team. I really enjoyed it. I think it’s a very interesting sport because it’s very fast and the players are trying to score all the time.

The rules of this sport are:
A gaelic football pitch is similar to a rugby pitch but a little larger. At each end of the pitch there are two goalposts of 7 metres and they’re connected by a crossbar of 2.5 metres. A gaelic football match lasts 70 minutes and it has two halves of 35 minutes. If the ball goes over the crossbar 1 point is scored. If the ball goes into the goal 3 points are scored.

Finally, in the match I saw, Dublin beat the Galway team by a lot of points. It was fantastic!
