The Aviva Stadium
The Aviva Stadium is a huge stadium, it is smaller than the Croke Park but is very amazing. It has a capacity for 51,700 people. It was designed by the group of architects Populous. It opened on 14 May 2010. The final of the Europe League was in the Aviva Stadium in 2011. The Irish Rugby Union team and the Republic of Ireland football team play their matches there. It is next to the Lansdowne Road railway station. We visited the Stadium from 4 o'clock to 5 o'clock with a guide. We saw the locker rooms, after we saw a short film about the Stadium in the press room. We saw the awards and finally we saw the terraces of the Stadium. There was a sports shop next to the Stadium, we bought some things, like balls or bracelets.
We arrived home at half past 5 or 6 o'clock, we had dinner, and at half past 7 we met at the school to go to the party. The party began at 8 o'clock, the room was a little small with a lot of people. There were Italians, Spanish, French and Irish, but it was great. They put Italian, Spanish and Irish music on in the disco, it was great. There was a bar in the disco. We left the party at 10 o'clock. We had fun.
